Lex was last seen around Wyndham Vale, near Kakadu Drive, about 12.40pm yesterday.

Police hold grave concerns for Lex's welfare due to his age and a medical condition.

"Our main goal is to find Lex and get him home," Senior Sergeant Megan O'Sullivan said yesterday.

"If he's watching, if he could just approach a member of the public and let them know who he is or contact a police station.

"He's not in any trouble. We just obviously want to find him."

The search for Lex is entering its second day, and comes amid freezing conditions.

It comes as a cold front moves over the state.
