NSW has recorded no new local cases of COVID-19, with authorities confirming the Byron Bay infection first announced yesterday.
NSW Health reported one new case this morning, the infection in Byron Bay in a young man who attended a venue linked to a hen's party cluster.
The state also recorded four new cases in overseas travellers, all of whom are currently in hotel quarantine.

https://twitter.com/NSWHealth/status/1377411852653666304NSW Health conducted almost 20,500 tests in the previous 24 hours, with authorities praising high turnout rates in northern NSW as a result of the Byron Bay cases.
Queensland today announced the three-day lockdown in Greater Brisbane will end at midday today (AEST).
NSW had been mirroring Queensland Health restrictions for anyone who had been to Greater Brisbane since March 20, and these people will also no longer required to stay at home from the lockdown ending.

"While urgent investigations and contact tracing continue into the local case and the cases who visited Byron Bay from Queensland while infectious, NSW Health is adopting a cautious approach to minimise the risk of further transmission," NSW Health tweeted.
Locals in the government areas of Bryon Bay, Ballina, the Tweed and Lismore will stay have to abide by restrictions announced yesterday, including mask use.
