'Indeterminate' COVID-19 test result detected in Victoria

Victorian health authorities are investigating after receiving an "indeterminate" COVID-19 test result last night.

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) confirmed the result in a tweet this morning, noting that follow-up tests are underway.

"Precautionary" public health actions are being taken in case the result does turn out to be positive, DHHS said.

Despite last night's possible new case, Victoria officially recorded no new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 for the 25th consecutive day today.

There are now just 20 active cases across Victoria.
